About

I am familiar with working with those who are their own worst critic and struggle to live fully because of anxiety, depression, and a need for trustworthy support. I seek to develop a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship with each client that honors their emotions and struggles, while also providing support for individuals to take their own steps forward in creating a life with balance and joy.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, meaning that our session will focus on your lived experience and how to support you in working towards the kind of life you want to live. Our sessions will provide you with a space to share and be received with compassion, as well as challenge and guide you to explore and implement more effective ways of navigating the world and your mind.

While earning my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Emporia State University I interned at Renew Counseling leading adolescent intensive outpatient groups and seeing clients individually. This experience taught me many practical skills (DBT, CBT, ACT) for managing anxiety and facilitating meaningful change, as well as solidified my belief in the importance of personal connection in creating a meaningful therapeutic experience. In my private practice I have worked with all ages over 12, including many adults facing life transitions and chronic illness. While I welcome a large variety of clients, a snapshot of my clients would include many people who identify as queer, are neurodivergent, or experience chronic mental and physical illnesses.

I work with clients virtually across Kansas and in-person in my Lawrence office. The quickest way to get started is to book a 15 minute consultation call online. On this call we will discuss general fit and answer any questions you may have before we schedule a session.
